The Rio Baluarte was done once before by Rocky Contos. I was fortunate enough to be hanging out with Rocky in the winter of 2011 and we went back to the Rio Baluarte. This is one of the most amazingly beautiful canyons I have ever been in and the boating experience was epic! The Rio Baluarte straddles the two Mexico states of Sinaloa and Durango.
