True, all this food was bought in Peru, but I think it will give you some ideas for your next river camp kitchen – or any kitchen for that matter. Check it out:
Day 1:
B: Deseyuno de Los Incas (super healthy – quinoa, amaranth, chia…), Fresh Fruit
L: Restaurant in Chagual, at the bottom of the Rio Marañon river valley!
D: Appetizer: Guacamole & Corn Tortilla Chips
Main Course: Marañon Burritos (bean for vegetarians)
Served with: Refried Beans, Rice, Salsa
Vegetable: Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado
Dessert: Nutella Treats de Mulatos
Day 2:

I just finished 16 days on the Upper Amazon and we did not use any ice – period. It was fantastic.
